Memory issues have plagued the performance of AMD's Ryzen 5 1600 processor since its launch. To remedy this, AMD announced that it is launching the AMD Generic Encapsulated System Architecture (AGESA) update to improve memory overclocking performance.
AMD released the Ryzen 5 and Ryzen 7 processors in April.

AMD announced their new range of ‘Ryzen 5’ processors, which will be available globally starting 11 April. The 4-processor lineup include two variants: a pair of 6-core,12-thread versions and a pair of 4-core, 8-thread versions.
