AMD seems to have done something very right with its latest processor lineup, AMDRyzen 5. According to a survey conducted on a German website, the Ryzen 5 CPUs have received the best first-impressions review recorded in seven years.

The German website, 3DCorner periodically conducts surveys among its readers about products launched in the CPU market, stressing more on the first impressions of products. These surveys have been conducted for the past seven years and the AMD Ryzen 5 now holds a record of getting the highest percentage of positive rating from users.

AMD released the Ryzen 5 and Ryzen 7 processors in April. The AMD Ryzen 5, available in 1400, 1500X, 1600 and 1600X variants has received the warmest welcome from users.

In the above-mentioned survey, the AMD Ryzen 5 has received 83.9% positive responses from readers at 3DCentre, 9.4% of the rest being indifferent towards the launch and the 6.7% negative ratings. The Ryzen 7 has also garnered a good response, 74.6% positive score from 3DCentre readers.

As reported by Hexus, the Intel Sandy Bridge, launched in 2011, had got 75.9% positive responses. The AMD Ryzen 5 beats this second generation Core processor by a significant margin and becomes the most warmly welcomed CPU.

Similar the Intel chips, the AMD Ryzen 5 1400 and 1500X use the four-core, eight-thread architecture. They are unlocked like all other Ryzen chips. The 1400 variant has a 3.2 GHz base along with a 3.4 GHz boost. The Ryzen 5 1500X offers an increased 3.5 GHz base and 3.7 GHz boost.

The AMD Ryzen 5 1600 and 1600X variants have six cores and twelve threads. The 1600X reportedly offers the same chip as the 1800X, at almost half the price. All Ryzen 5 variants except the 1600X come with coolers in the box.

AMD is known for offering more threads at each price point and both the Ryzen 5 and Ryzen 7 live up to that notion. The AMD Ryzen 5 has rightfully won hearts, offering excellent multi-core activity at a much lower price than its contemporaries.
