AMD has recently released four new AMD Ryzen 5 models and claims that the Ryzen 5 1600X gives 87 percent more performance than Intel's 7th generation Core i5-7600K processor. AMD focuses on its gaming CPU and Radeon GPU heritage with the Ryzen 7 series.
According to PC Gamer, it was said to ensure it can be seen as a mainstream desktop and notebook engine provider with the Ryzen 5 series. Its key performance lies in both the number of compute core and number of threads. The 1600 and 1600X have six cores and 12 threads compared; 72 compared to 16 on the Intel i5-7600K. Ryzen 5 also manages to meet Intel's thermal design power of 65W.
AMD's senior vice-president and general manager Jim Anderson claimed that AMD Ryzen is a proven game-changer that ultimately brings innovation and competition back across PC market segments. The company is now excited to introduce the next tier of AMD Ryzen processors to the market. He added that MAD Ryzen 5 revitalizes the mid-section of the desktop market which offers consumers excellent pricing that provides smooth and impressive overall experience; both high-performance or demanding applications.
AMD Ryzen 5 1600X and 1600 models are claimed to be two of the highest-performing and lowest power 6-core desktop processors that also offers a high-quality 1080p/60 FPS/3500Kbps game streaming. AMD Ryzen 5 1500X and 1400 are also designed for high-performance gaming and processing featuring 4 processor cores with 8 threads for an excellent gaming and processing.
According to MyGaming, the Ryzen 5 1600 is listed at only $244.07 where there are discount incentives available; the lowest of which brings the price down to $218.26 if buyers opt out of free returns and pay by debit card. Meanwhile, The Ryzen 5 1600 is a 6-core/12-thread processor with a 3.2GHz base clock, 3.6GHz turbo clock, and 3.7GHz XFR clock. It also has 16MB of L3 cache and ships with a Wraith Spire cooler.
