HTC, the Taiwanese tech giant is planning to launch its flagship HTC U 11 on May 16. However, the smartphone is at peak on the internet with rumors and leaks. A fresh video by OnLeaks and 91Mobiles have leaked suggesting the exterior details of the smartphone.
According to The Mobile Indian, the HTC U 11 smartphone in red color leaked in the video has amazing design and finish both at the front and back. The back of the smartphone could be made with a glass, as it is extremely glossy. The back of the smartphone can be seen with a rear camera with a flash light and the HTC name at the center.
It is reported that the HTC U 11 back is almost similar to the HTC U Play and U Ultra smartphones. The bottom edge of the device sports a speaker grille, a USB Type-C port, and two holes -which could be for an in-call primary microphone and noise cancellation. The top edge of the smartphone can be seen with one hole for the secondary microphone, and one for ejecting the SIM/ microSD slot tray.
The front face of the smartphone can be seen with the capsule shaped Home Button which could house a fingerprint sensor as there is no such thing found at the back of the phone. The screen looks to be slightly curved on the sides
It is reported that the HTC U 11 could arrive with the Edge Sense support feature. This is a feature that will be infused on the side edges of the screen allowing users to interact by 'squeezing' the edge of the phone frame. The report also suggests that this feature can be used to perform tasks like launching Camera, HTC Sense Companion, Google Assistant, or even turning on the Wi-Fi Hotspot.
According to Gadgets 360, the HTC U 11 is speculated to arrive a 5.5-inch QHD (1440x2560 pixels) display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Under the hood, the device is expected to pack Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 SoC coupled with either 6GB of RAM and 128GB built-in storage or 4GB of RAM and 64GB built-in storage. The smartphone has been rumored to feature storage expandable up to 2TB.
There are also rumors that the HTC U 11 will arrive with a dual-SIM card slot, and will run on Android Nougat OS with HTC Sense UI & Edge Sense. It could also feature a 12-megapixel UltraPixel rear camera with f/1.7 aperture, a 16-megapixel with f/2.0 aperture, and a 3000mAh non-removable battery with support for Quick Charge 3.0. Stay tuned for more updates.
