HTC has unveiled their latest smartphones in the earlier this year, the U Play and U Ultra, but they are yet to unveil a praiseworthy successor to the HTC 10. Even though it has been rumored that the smartphone will be named the HTC 11, trustworthy leaker Evan Blass has confirmed that HTC will choose a rather simple name for their upcoming device - HTC U.
The famous leaker Evan Blass has unveiled the specs of the upcoming device last month. And now, he has posted the first image of the upcoming flagship on his twitter.
The latest leaked image reveals what looks to be glass on both front and the back of the HTC smartphone. It is also obvious that the device will have important bezels, unlike LG's and Samsung's recently revealed flagships. According to leaked image, the fingerprint sensor will remain on the front of the smartphone, and in case there were some doubts - there is no dual camera.
Last month Evan Blass has also published specs of the HTC U. The smartphone will boast Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 835 processor. The device will sport will a 5.5-inch QHD display, and will run Android 7.1 Nougat underneath HTC Sense 9l, as per Venture Beat.
According to Tweak Town, the rumored HTC U will offer 64GB or 128GB of internal storage. As for the optic side, the HTC U will have a Sony IMX362 sensor on the back with 12MP, while the selfie shooter will be a massive 16MP IMX351.
The upcoming flagship from HTC will come with Edge Sense feature that will allow you to control a number of customizable actions with gestures that you perform on the U's metal frame, instead of the screen. The new HTC flagship will be released in the late April and it should hit global markets in early May.
