It has been a while since the Android 7.1.2 Nougat update has been out for developers to test the latest OS version by Google. Moreover, the update has been made available for Google Pixel and Nexus device owners as well. The new update adds a number of features as well as bug fixes such as the "shutdown bug" fix that was an issue in the Android 7.1.1 Nougat update in some Pixel devices. Google claims that the issue has now reportedly been fixed once users update to 7.1.2.

The Android 7.1.2 Nougat update comprises of a number of new tweaks for smartphones among which there is a patch update for device's incapability to calibrating the battery level in some Pixel devices. So, this abruptly leads to shut down of the smartphone.

The Android 7.1.2 Nougat update is on the verge of rolling out on other devices as well, so it was necessary that the issue was fixed as soon as possible. Fortunately, reports suggest that the "shutdown bug" has now been fixed in the OS update.
