Moto X Moto Maker Now Available For All Carriers

Nov 13, 2013 11:39 AM EST

As of this week, Motorola has made its special Moto Maker for Moto X available for all carriers, as opposed to only AT&T. Now anyone with service with “The Big Four” can edit and customize his phone by changing the color of the back, front and accents. This is a far cry from the black-or-white options available for most devices. The Moto Maker also gives you the option to engrave the back of your phone with a personal message, along with a personal message during boot.

The customization doesn’t stop there: you can also purchase accessories like headphone, ear buds, or a phone case to match your colorful device. If you choose to do so, your device will be shipped with your Google account information already synced in. You get Android Jelly Bean 4.3 with plans to upgrade to KitKat in the near future. The Moto X showed the world the power of touchless controls by pioneering the always-listening Google Now feature now available through KitKat, and its claim to fame (along with Moto Maker) is the X8 Mobile Computing System inside that lets the Moto X handle simple background tasks even when the device is asleep.

Although it was released at an extremely steep price of $199 on contract and $650 off, the price has since dropped to $99 on contract ($20 on Amazon) and $500 off for the 16 GB version and $149 on contract and $550 off for the 32 GB. For those of you who favor stock Android, customization, and all of the latest features from Google for a decent price, the Moto X from Motorola can’t be beat. So head on over to Motorola’s website and make your own today!
