Popular Chinese smartphone maker Huawei is rumored to be working on a new smart band called the Honor Band 3. Their latest product to the markets, the Honor Band 2 was released sometime in June last year. Reports from the internet indicate that the Chinese manufacturer is planning to release the new variant at the same time.
The Huawei Honor Band 3 is all but confirmed to be released on June 12, as per reports from GSMArena. Huawei has sent out press invitations for various journalists to attend the launch event on Monday. Huawei hasn't revealed anything at all about their new product. Rumors predict their new product in June would be a more premium product compared to its predecessor.
Going into the details about the Honor Band 3, the report mentions that, the smart band would be IP67 certified. The current generation flagships iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus from Apple too, are IP67 certified. With smartphone connectivity for both Android and iOS, the device will also now display notifications on its LED screen.
Rumors hint that the Huawei Honor Band 3 will also include a heart rate sensor, that's seeing an increase in various products from different manufacturers. According to a report from Android Headlines, news about the new smart band was posted on a popular Chinese website Weibo. The report suggests the upcoming third generation product will be a premium built and more advanced compared to the Honor Band 2.
The Huawei Honor Band 3 is expected to be an improvement from the Honor Band 2 in terms of its battery life, activity tracking, and build quality. With improved dust and water resistance, and a variety of new sensors onboard, the new smart band will be unveiled alongside their upcoming Honor 9 smartphone at the same event. The smartphone carries a Kirin 960 processor and a 1080p display on top of it.
