AMD Vega has not officially announced yet but it is going to get an announcement soon. Having that said, it is not surprising that there is a leaked AMD Vega benchmarks ahead of time.

Recently an AMD official revealed that the AMD Vega GPU will be competitive as compared to the GTX 1080 as well as the Titan XP, which it what this leaked official AMD Vega benchmark shows.

Chinese website KKJ has leaked an image from what it looks to be an official AMD press slides. In the leaked slide, the red team can be seen putting its new RX Vega GPU against NVIDIA's Titan XP, and the results are surprising.

AMD benched DOOM in 4K on Ultra settings via its Vulkan API. According to the graphs, the AMD Radeon RX Vega GPU was 21 percent faster than NVIDIA's Titan XP GPU. AMD Vega GPU can also be a 129 percent lead over the GTX 1080.

This benchmark was included in one of AMD's press slides for which its embargo was lifted on May 8.  The leak is coming from the upcoming AMD Vega presentation that we are expecting to see at SIGGRAPH. AMD CEO Lisa Su was very clear that AMD Vega will finally be announced at the upcoming event, as reported by Segment Next.

However, new reports are claiming that this benchmark is not legit and should not be taken seriously. It is advised to take this information with a bit of salt as this benchmark has not been confirmed from AMD and it would be wise to wait for the official word from AMD.

It will be interesting to see whether the AMD Radeon RX Vega will be able to surpass NVIDIA's Titan XP (and the GeForce GTX1080Ti), or whether DOOM is just a very special case. Stay tuned to Droid Report for more update.
