Leaks regarding OnePlus 5 are running rampant on the internet. The smartphone will be powered by a 3300mAh battery instead of the rumored 3600mAh battery. However, the latest leak has been surfaced online which suggests the fast charging ability of the smartphone.
It's no secret that OnePlus 5 will support fast charging, however, as per the Weibo user, Kumamoto Technology, the battery of OnePlus 5 will fast charge from 0% to 100% in just 30 minutes. The OnePlus 3 came with the Dash Charge feature that is the fast charging ability of the device.
Since the OnePlus 5 is an upgraded alternative of the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T which were released the previous year with improved specs and features, it is expected the Dash Charge feature to also be upgraded. In the OnePlus 3, the Dash Charge feature was capable of charging the smartphone up to 60 percent in 30 minutes. This makes clear that the alleged fast charging characteristic to come with the OnePlus 5 will be a much better one.
The OnePlus 5 is supposed to be unveiled on June 15 and its follow-up, the OnePlus 5T is expected to be revealed sometime in the Q4 this year with a glass back. The smartphone will be launched in two variants - 6GB RAM and 8GB RAM and 64GB storage and 128GB storage variants. Booting on Android 7.1.1 Nougat, the OnePlus 5 is said to feature a 5.5-inch display and come in four different color variants - Light Blue/Cyan, Dark Red, Gold, and Black.
According to The Android Soul, moreover, the smartphone will boast dual real camera as confirmed by the leaked retail box. The device is expected to run on the powerful Snapdragon 835 processor, as confirmed by its CEO.
The OnePlus' CEO, Pete Lau, has also confirmed that OnePlus 5 will be the thinnest flagship smartphone to be launched so far. Stay tuned to Droid Report for more update.
