OnePlus CEO Pete Lau confirmed on Wednesday that both OnePlus 3 and 3T will be updated to Android O. The company CEO did not revealed any specific timeline for the roll out of Android O to OnePlus 3 and 3T.
OnePlus CEO Pete Lau has confirmed that both OnePlus 3 and 3T will be receiving Android O update. Android O is the next version of the OS that should be out in late summer for Pixel and Nexus devices, as reported by GSM Arena.
OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T will get upgrade to Android O. The latest version of Google OS, Android O, will have a number of new features like better battery life, streamlined notifications, better keyboard navigation, wide-gamut color for apps, support for third-party calling apps autofill, picture-in-picture, improved audio system, and a lot more.
CEO Lau hasn't revealed anything regarding the both OnePlus 3 and 3T from 2016 are going to get their taste of the new treat. But considering what's happened in the past, anyone should not see a stable Android O build hit before the end of this year.
Notably, OnePlus launched both OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T last year in June and November respectively. Last week, OnePlus discontinued its OnePlus 3T smartphone and said that this is the last chance to buy the smartphone before it goes out of stock.
Meanwhile, OnePlus' upcoming flagship OnePlus 5 has been confirmed to sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC. The smartphone is tipped to carry a 23-megapixel rear sensor and a 16-megapixel camera at the front for taking selfies, as reported by NDTV.
Apart from the cameras, the latest listing about alleged OnePlus 5 hints that the dual-SIM smartphone will run Android 7.1.1 Nougat out-of-the-box and will sport a 5.5-inch QHD (1440x2560 pixels) display. The successor to OnePlus 3T has been suggested to be powered by a 2.35GHz octa-core Snapdragon 835 SoC coupled with 8GB of RAM.
