It is the 10th anniversary of the “Assassin’s Creed” franchise and to celebrate the occasion, Ubisoft, the French game developer, is cutting the price of the title by 80 percent. Instead of the usual $5 price, “Assassin’s Creed Identity” will sell for $1 in Google Play and the App Store. For those buying the iOS version, the game will run only on iPad 3, iPad Mini 2, iPhone 5 and higher.

Phone Arena adds that to play “Assassin’s Creed Identity,” there should be an online connection at all times. Although the game has not been updated in November, it features great graphics and a solid action RPG gameplay experience.

Meanwhile, Gaming Bolt reports that the new “Assassin’s Creed” will be announced officially soon, although Ubisoft has yet to pick a date for the event. Ahead of the launch, the game website hopes that Ubisoft will fix the cluttered maps of the game. It notes that the game’s maps are cluttered with hundreds of icons for all manners of side quests. Gamers say it either looks intimidating or annoying.

If the maps of Ubisoft failed to impress Gaming Bolt, The Register-Guard was thumbs up to “Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection” played on PlayStation 4. The website believes the title could be the best set of games in the series as the third and final entry in “The Ezio Collection allows the gamer to understand what the ancient people were attempting to accomplish eons of years ago.

“Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection” also tries to explain the connection that Desmond Miles, the present-day hero of the game, has to do with the overall plot. It also tackles how Altair Ibn-La’Ahad, his and Ezio’s ancestor, planned for the future even if Altair did not fully understand all the maneuvering that took place in the intervening years. Ezio remains the main lead as he travels to a foreign land in the 16th century.
