Microsoft Now Introduces The New Code Builder For ‘Minecraft: Education Edition’ Along With Three Upcoming Updates

Recently, Microsoft revealed today that the Code Builder for "Minecraft: Education Edition." This new game is now available along with other updates to both in-game features and Classroom Mode.

According to Digital Trends, developers announced the Code Builder or "Minecraft: Education Edition" which is a free one-year subscription to the game with qualifying purchases of Windows 10 computers and tablets along with updates for both in-game features and Classroom Mode for Minecraft. This was announced three weeks ago, Code Builders help students and teachers to explore, create, and play in virtual worlds by just writing software code.

Microsoft emphasizes that Code Builder is a new extension for "Minecraft: Education Edition." By this, it allows educators and students to discover, create, and play in an immersive Minecraft world, all by writing codes. Connecting to learn-to-code packages such as ScratchX, Tynker, and a new open source platform called Microsoft MakeCode where players can start with familiar tools, tutorials, and templates which the software giant writes. Code.org will bring Code Studio to Code Builder later this year to support even more learning opportunities.

As noted by Windows Central, Microsoft now gives a full set of training materials available on its "Minecraft: Education Edition." In addition to Code Builder, the company will also release some following updates such as Command Blocks, Worldbuilder, and Classroom Mode improvements.

As for the upcoming release update of Command Blocks, it allows players to attach Minecraft commands to activate blocks within the game which provide the ability to create teleports stations, change the weather, give items, and much more. Meanwhile, Wordbuilder comes to "Minecraft: Education Edition" with a shortened (/wb) command, new blocks such as Terracotta that allows for new designs and villager trading that improve the economic possibilities of the game.

"Minecraft: Education Edition" will also soon bring the Classroom Mode improvements. Based on educator feedback, this mode has been updated to streamline the game experience with new controls for destructive items such as TNT and lava, weather, mobs immutable world, and muting chat.
