Huawei, the Chinese tech giant is slowly heading towards the global expansion in the personal computers segment. The company has introduced the first line-up of 3 personal computer models, which includes MateBook X, which is nothing but a metallic 13-inch notebook, MateBook D; 15.6-inch screen notebook, and MateBook E; 2-in-1 tablet and notebook hybrid and an ultra slim at an event in Berlin.
According to Huawei, the Huawei MateBook X is a 13-inch IPS display with an aspect ratio of 3:2 having a resolution of 2,160 pixels by 1,440 pixels protected with cornering gorilla glass and a 4.4mm bezel. The device is incredibly thin with 88 percent of a screen to body ratio. It measures to 286mm in width, 211mm in depth, 12.5mm in thickness and weighs 1.05 kilograms.
The Huawei MateBook X is powered by a 7th Generation Intel Core i5 or i7 U-series processor coupled with an Intel HD620 graphics. The device comes with either 4GB or 8GB of LPDDR3 RAM, and 256 or 512GB SSD storage. It comes with 5449mAh battery, Bluetooth 4.1, ambient light sensor, fingerprint sensor, accelerometer, and hall sensor.
The Huawei MateBook X runs on Windows 10 operating system. It carries a USB-C type port and offers a pair of ports for charging and data transfer. Huawei is also including a MateDock 2.0 USB-C dongle in the box in some markets, which offers a USB-C port for pass-through charging and a regular USB Type-A port, DVI, and HDMI.
According to GSMArena, the Huawei MateBook X comes in prestige gold, rose gold, and space gray color options. The device will have a price tag starting from €1,399 and will go up to €1,699. The other device Huawei MateBook E features a 12-inch 2,160x1, 440 IPS touchscreen display. It also features either 4GB or 8GB of LPDDR3 RAM, and 128, 256, or 512GB of storage. It is powered by a 7th Generation Intel Core m3 or i5 processors with Intel HD615 graphics. It comes in titanium gray and champagne gold colors having a starting price tag of €999 and going up to €1,299.
The Huawei MateBook D has a 15.6-inch 1080p screen. It is powered by an i5 or i7 processor with an optional Nvidia graphics coupled with 4GB or 8GB or 16GB of RAM. The storage options include a 128GB or 256GB SSD or 512GB or 1TB HDD. It will have a price tag starting from €799 and will go up to €999. It comes in champagne gold, space gray, and aurora blue color options.
