Huawei, the Chinese smartphone maker has launched a new budget smartphone known as the Honor 6A in its home country. The smartphone is currently the best-featured smartphone with iPhone like front face design. The base model has a price tag of CNY 799 (~$115/€105) and the upper variant at CNY 999($145/€130). The pre-orders of the phone will start from May 25 and will go on sale on June 1.
According to Fonearena, the Honor 6A smartphone sports 5-inch HD display with a resolution of 720 pixels by 1280 pixels. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 (4 x 1.2 GHz Cortex A53 + 4 x 1.5 GHz Cortex A53) 64-bit processor with Adreno 505 GPU coupled with 2GB/3GB of RAM and 16GB/32GB of internal storage.
The Honor 6A arrives with a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 128GB. The device is equipped with a 3020mAh battery that offers 19 hours of talk time and 363 hours of standby time and the device runs on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system with Huawei's EMUI 5.1 on top of it.
The Honor 6A sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing selfie shooter. It has a dimension of 143.7mm x 70.95×8.2mm and weighs 143g. The connectivity options include hybrid dual SIM, Bluetooth 4.1, 4G with VoLTE, WiFi, GPS/A-GPS with A-Glonass, and a micro USB port. Sensors included in the phone are gravity sensor, accelerometer, light sensor and distance sensor.
According to Digital Trends, the newly launched Honor 6A smartphone, though being the budget phone has similar looks as that of Apple iPhone on the front. The device looks similar when the screen is off and when the Home button is ignored. The positioning of speaker cutout, camera and sensors on the top, and the hint of shimmering aluminum along the edges are the features that this smartphone is a look-alike of iPhone.
However, the Honor 6A does not come in the colors, which Apple provides. The device comes in silver, gold, pink, and blue colors with the positioning of fingerprint scanner at the back. The device will be available from Chinese online retailers, like JD.com and Vmall. The United States availability is unknown at this time. Stay tuned for more updates.
