GoPro Hero 6 Expected To Feature VR Support, 360-degree Videos, Slimmer Design And Powerful Battery

GoPro, the action camera manufacturer might soon arrive with the successor of GoPro Hero 5. The GoPro Hero 6 is expected to arrive by the second half of this year. The camera is speculated to have support for 360-degree videos with the multi-lens camera, a 4K resolution, 60fps video recording, a slimmer design and a powerful battery. Thus, allowing users to record footage for longer periods with immense image quality.

According to Value Walk, the year 2016 is reported to be the tough year for the GoPro Company. The company released the GoPro Hero 5 camera and GoPro Karma drone last year. The Karma drone had some flaws for which the company recalled the drones and re-launched it. However, the Karma drone did not receive the success as expected by the company.

It is reported that Nick Woodman, founder, and CEO confirmed that the company would release GoPro Hero 6 action camera later this year. Woodman reportedly said that GoPro is working to release new cameras and accessories this year "and the new camera being Hero 6."

According to  Engadget, the GoPro is reportedly said of developing a novel way to record 360-degree videos with the multi-lens camera. Woodman referred to the spherical camera as the "ultimate GoPro." There are also rumors that the GoPro Hero 6 will arrive with virtual reality support, a 4K resolution, 60fps video recording, a slimmer design and a powerful battery for best photo shoots.

Nick Woodman in an interview with the TechCrunch said that GoPro wants to make Hero 6 easier to share content with a feature that would let the GoPro Hero 6 upload photos and videos automatically to the user's smartphone.  Further, Woodman stated that a quick app would ask a permission to upload it to various social networks.

GoPro Hero 6 is expected to arrive with best features by the second half of this year. The company has achieved a great success after the launch of Hero 4 camera in 2014. However, the Hero 5 camera was not successful as its predecessor. Therefore, GoPro enthusiasts are currently waiting for the next great action camera from the company.
