A number of press renders have leaked online, revealing about the alleged successor to Microsoft's Surface Pro 4 tablet, the so-called Surface Pro. The upcoming device might be the Microsoft Pro 4 Refresh.
Earlier this month, Microsoft's devices chief Panos Panay has confirmed that the company wasn't planning to launch any Surface Pro 5 until it had achieved enough "meaningful change" to warrant launching an all new product. He also stated that the Microsoft did not want to launch a product with just upgraded specifications and label it as the next generation Surface Pro.
However, CVP of Microsoft's Windows and Device group Yusuf Mehdi recently confirmed that there might be an update to the Surface Pro 4 coming soon. This information has now been confirmed by Evan Blass's leak, Venture Beat reported.
The leaked image of upcoming Surface Pro points towards a design very similar to the Surface Pro 4. The highlighted change looks to be the introduction of colorful Alcantara fabric on the keyboard, just like the recently announced Surface Laptop. The upcoming Surface Pro keyboard and Surface Pen are said to come in four different colors, namely Charcoal, Burgundy, Platinum and Teal. A number of accessories for the upcoming Surface Pro will reportedly be available in multiple colors, including a stylus, keyboard and mouse, India Today reported.
Evleaks claims that Company will follow in the footsteps of Apple that named its recent iPad simply 'iPad' and call the new model just the 'Surface Pro'. On the specifications side, the Upcoming Surface Pro is expected to come with 7th generation Intel processors which will result in improved performance and battery life.
Microsoft is holding an event in China on May 23 there they might release the Upcoming Surface Pro a.k.a the Surface Pro 4 refresh. Fascinatingly, in a reply to a user's comment on Twitter, Evan Blass has also revealed that the Microsoft might also be launching a Surface Phone during the event.
