“Star Wars Battlefront II” has a big task ahead and all that happens this November. Among the changes DICE has in store include new campaigns and characters, massively expanding possibilities that its predecessor had to offer.
“Star Wars Battlefront” debuted back in 2015 and some have been underwhelmed. The offering focused more on the original trilogy which included the original protagonists. As most are aware, the “Star Wars” franchise has expanded beyond that with new stories and characters, IGN reports. A lot has developed in the last two years so DICE has lesser room for excuse to come out with an improved “Star Wars Battlefront II.”
Among the thing to expect for in “Star Wars Battlefront II” include three times more content which would include a dedicated single player campaign and a curious original story, GameSpot reports. On paper, that already sounds like a big move though a trailer (which can be viewed below) shows a better view of what to expect. The teaser was first shown at the Star Wars celebration in Orlando.
A brief synopsis on what lies ahead includes a “Star Wars Battlefront II” campaign that picks up from the events after “Return of the Jedi.” It technically follows the timeline from that offering to “The Force Awakens” where the focus will be on a female Imperial soldier named “Iden Versio” (Janina Gavankar).
Iden is the leader of a unit called the “Inferno Squad” who will eventually witness the second Death Star explosion. The whole ordeal will eventually be the reason for the “Inferno Squad” to seek revenge on the Rebels.
For most “Star Wars” fans, the “Empire” was always seen as the enemy. But that is reportedly not the case for “Star Wars Battlefront II,” termed by Lucasfilm Senior Director of Franchise Management Douglas Reilly as simply being on the “wrong side.” “Star Wars Battlefront II” is set to be released on Nov. 17, 2017, for the Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
