Samsung Galaxy Note 8 News, Specifications & Latest Update: Latest Leak Reveals Details of Samsung Phablet Flagship

May 17, 2017 06:01 PM EDT

According to the latest leak, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will sport a dual camera that should help the Samsung phablet flagship to be one of the best smartphones in 2017. The feature was supposed to be equipped with the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus but it never made the final design.

The BGR reports that the famed analyst and leakster, Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities, broke the news regarding the dual camera to be equipped to the Samsung Galaxy Note 8. According to Kuo, the newest Samsung phablet flagship will have 3X optical zoom which would make the camera of the Note 8 even better than the Apple iPhone 7. Tech Industry insiders also suggest that the Note 8 would have a 12-megapixel wide angle lens and a 13-megapixel telephoto lens.

Meanwhile, the Forbes, citing SamMobile, reports that the aside from the dual camera, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 would also have the biggest display ever for any Galaxy line smartphone. The newest Samsung phablet flagship would come equipped with a 6.3-inch Infinity Display panel with an aspect ratio of 18.5:9.

Also, information from the rumor mill suggests that the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 would have its fingerprint sensor already integrated into its display. The integrated fingerprint sensor and the dual camera are two features rumored to be supposedly included in the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus.

According to Tech Radar, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will likely be released in autumn of 2017, possibly between October and November. The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 during its launch was priced US$ 850 so the newest Samsung phablet flagship would probably be priced around that range.

If these rumors, speculations, and leaks prove to be true, then the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 would arguably be the best smartphone in 2017. The newest Samsung phablet flagship, equipped with this rumored features, would even be better than the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus. And the Note 8 has to be better, and then some, if it wants to compete against the upcoming 10th anniversary Apple iPhone.

Even from reputable sources, the question with regards to leaks such as these, however, is this: can consumers trust them? Especially if the consumer is holding out on the Samsung Galaxy S8 or S8 Plus in hopes that the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 would be better than its predecessors, information coming from these leaks is vital. That being said, the S8 and S8 Plus are perhaps the best option out in the market. The best option, that is, until the Note 8 announces its arrival.
