Last Monday, the phone manufacturer OnePlus announced the release of the new open beta versions of Hydrogen OS (H2OS) for the Chinese variants OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T. The Guangdong-based consumer electronics maker unveil that the H2OS Beta 13 for the OnePlus 3 and the Beta 7 for the OnePlus 3T are both based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat.
According to Gizbot, OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T newly arrive betas that are based on an Android 7.1.1 were just like the versions that preceded them. A transition to a new build of Google's ubiquitous operating system will thus happen for the future updates. This new beta software packages are just incremental upgrades over the firmware that its last two phones were already running.
OnePlus 3 and the OnePlus 3T's newly Hydrogen OS are mostly narrowed on fixing certain firmware bugs, making their core features more stable, and optimizing the performance of both devices. These software packages are just under 60MB size file, can be downloaded and installed via standard update procedure.
For users who are looking to do so and already running the previous version of H2OS beta for OnePlus 3 or OnePlus 3T, they must simply have to visit the Settings app, scroll to System Updates, and tap the option of manually scanning for new over-the-air (OTA) software on the following screen.
According to Phone Arena, the new software offers some enhancements to the default Alarm Clock app, fixes the bug causing duplicate Contacts following system upgrades, eliminates certain issues related to partial app flashes, and debuts some tweaks to the black-and-white theme of both devices, which a new changelog will be revealed.
OnePlus Company will release the new iterations of the OxygenOS in the upcoming days. The company is currently in the process of wrapping up work on the OnePlus 5, along with its upcoming Android flagship that was set to be revealed next month; also to be expected as a significant upgrade over the OnePlus 3T.
