Moto C and Moto C Plus: Android 7.0 Nougat Based Entry Level Smartphones Announced

Motorola Mobility, the Lenovo-owned smartphone maker announced the most affordable Moto smartphones for the Moto enthusiasts. The Moto C and Moto C Plus are claimed to be made for the customers who prioritize value and battery life when choosing a new handset. Motorola has announced these two devices in Pearl White, Starry Black, Metallic Cherry, and Fine Gold color options.

According to Android Headlines, the Moto C and Moto C Plus will be available in Europe, Latin America, and Asia Pacific starting spring. It is reported that the Moto C will be offered in 3G and 4G support variants. The 3G variant will have a price tag starting from £89.99 (approx. $97), while the 4G variant will have a starting price tag of £99 (approx. $108).

It is reported that the British unit of the Lenovo-owned company has confirmed that the Moto C will be retailed by O2, Carphone, and Tesco, starting at £89.99. The Moto C Plus will be sold at Argos from £109.99. In addition, both the devices will be available for purchase on company's website.

As far as the specifications and features of the Moto C and Moto C Plus are concerned, the Gadgets 360 reports that the Moto C smartphone features a 5-inch FWVGA (480x854 pixels) display. Under the hood, it is powered by the MediaTek MT6580m system-on-chip (SoC) clocked at 1.3GHz coupled with Mali 400 GPU and 1GB of RAM.

Moto C features an 8GB internal storage expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card slot. The rear face of the smartphone features a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front camera. The device is powered by a 2,350mAh removable battery and runs on Android 7.0 Nougat OS. The smartphone measures to 145.5x73.6x9mm, and weighs 154 grams. 

The Moto C Plus features the same design and other exterior looks but holds a 5-inch (720x1280 pixels) HD display. Under the hood, it is powered by a 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6737 quad-core Cortex-A53 SoC coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage expandable up to 32GB via microSD card.

The Moto C Plus smartphone features an 8-megapixel rear camera and 2-megapixel front camera. This smartphone runs on Android 7.0 Nougat OS, but features a powerful 4,000mAh battery. The Moto C measures to 144x72.3x10 mm and weighs 162 grams.
