Xiaomi Redmi 4 & Redmi 4 Prime To Launch In India Today

Xiaomi, the Chinese tech giant has a firm position in the Indian tech market. The company will announce the Xiaomi Redmi 4 smartphone today. The device is the third Redmi smartphone that will hook up in the Indian tech market where the company has sold a huge number of smartphones.

According to ieTechnology, the Xiaomi Redmi 4 will be the smartphone that will be launched after the Redmi Note 4 and Redmi 4A smartphones. The company is reported to host an event today in the capital city New Delhi. The event is scheduled to start at 11:30 am IST. In addition, the live streaming of this event can be seen on Mi.com website and YouTube

According to the Gadgets360, the Xiaomi Redmi 4 smartphone was launched in China last November. It is reported that the smartphone was launched in two variants-Redmi 4 and Redmi 4 Prime. It is reported that the Redmi 4 Prime could be launched alongside with the Redmi 4 in India as well. Amazon India is reported to have started accepting registrations for notifications about the smartphone.

There are no details on the pricing of Indian based Xiaomi Redmi 4 variants. However, by considering the pricing of the smartphone in China, assumptions can be made that the both the variants could have a price tag below Rs. 10,000 (approx. $155). In China, the Redmi 4 is priced at CNY 699 (approx. Rs. 6,900), while the Redmi 4 Prime is priced at CNY 899 (approx. Rs. 8,900).

The Xiaomi Redmi 4 sports a 5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) display. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC clocked at 1.4GHz coupled with the Adreno 505 GPU. Te processor is paired with a 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage expandable up to 128GB.  It features a 13MP rear camera with a f/2.2 aperture and a 5MP front camera with a f/2.2 aperture.

The Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime sports a 5-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) display. This device is powered by a 2GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC coupled with Adreno 506 GPU and 3GB of RAM. It bears 32GB internal storage expandable up to 128GB. The camera and battery capacities remain the same as that of Xiaomi Redmi 4.

The Xiaomi is the second largest smartphone vendor after the South Korean tech giant-Samsung in India. The successful and amazing Redmi models from the company have attracted many customers.
