Asus, the Taiwanese tech giant has started rolling out the Android 7.1.1 Nougat update to Asus ZenFone 3 Max smartphone.  The smartphone is well known for its powerful battery and currently, it is getting the taste of latest Android OS released by Google. The Nougat operating system was released by the search-engine tech giant last August.

According to The Android Soul, the Android 7.1.1 Nougat hitting the AsusZenFone 3 Max carries a build number 14.0200.1704.119. There are no details mentioned on the Asus official forum regarding the size of the download file and changes that will be seen after installing the update. It is reported that the Asus has mistakenly mentioned the model name as ZenFone 3 Deluxe (ZS550KL) instead of ZenFone 3 Max (ZC553KL) to which the update is being pushed.

However, it is reported that the heading of the roll out mentioned in the Asus forum indicates that it is the Asus ZenFone 3 Max smartphone owners who will get the Android 7.1.1 Nougat update. It is also reported that the update to the owners can hit anytime. Therefore, owners are requested to be patient for the notification. If not, the update can be manually checked by heading to the Settings > About > System update.

The successor of Asus ZenFone 3 Max known as the ZenFone 4 Max was spotted on the company's official support page a few days back. The Gadgets 360 cites that the so assumed successor was spotted with 4G-support connectivity and a 5.5-inch display. It is also reported that the device could be powered by either the Snapdragon 625 processor or the newly launched Snapdragon 660 processor.

The GFXBench listing also reveals that the Asus device code named as ASUS X00ID could be the Asus ZenFone 4 Max. The device listed was seen featuring a dual camera set up on the rear with one 13MP sensor and another 5MP sensor. While the front face of the smartphone is seen with an 8MP selfie-shooter. On the software front, it is tipped to be running Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box.
