The Verizon Wear24 smartwatch has been released into the tech market. The smartwatch, which does not rely on a smartphone, is up for the grab at Verizon's official site at $349.99. A smartwatch with real aesthetics and rival to the other smartwatches has landed with an eSIM (Embedded Subscriber Identity Module) enabling the network connectivity with the Verizon's 4G LTE network.
According to Android Guys, the Verizon Wear24 smartwatch has a retail price tag of $349.99, while the customary two-year contract price tag is $299.99. The Verizon Wear24 smartwatch sports a 1.39-inch AMOLED display with 480 pixels by 480 pixels resolution. The smartwatch is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100 processor coupled with a 768MB of RAM and a 4GB of storage. The processor loaded is 30 percent smaller than the Qualcomm's previously launched wearable processors.
According to Verizon Wireless, the Verizon Wear24 smartwatch packs a 450mAh battery with a wireless charging support feature. The standby time and the usage time is up to 60hours and 18hours respectively. The product running on Android Wear 2.0 OS also packs LTE and has IP67 certification for dust and water resistance. The LTE modem supports low power Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. The Wear24 indeed have NFC feature, but it is reported to be not compatible with the Android Pay.
The Verizon Wear24 Smartwatch has many preloaded apps such the Verizon Apps which include VZ Message+, and MyVerizon, Google Apps which includes Setup, HomeGoogle/Together, Agenda, Stopwatch, Timer. Alarm, Find My Phone, Fit, Flashlight, Messenger, Phone, Reminder, Settings, Translate, and Weather. The users can easily browse and download applications from Google Play store.
The items that will be included in the box are Wear 24 watch, pre-installed SIM card, 450mAh battery, charging dock, micro USB cable, adapter, quick reference guide, important consumer safety information, and product safety and warranty brochure.
