OLED technology is now a grown-up technology. It has been received high praise from the Technology World. Now, a new technology is born, which is coined and trademarked by Samsung, the Electronics Giant. So, there will be a cuddle competition between them.

As reported by Digital trends, until now LG was the only Company which was in the race of OLED TV, but now, Sony is also included in this game and is bringing its own OLED TV to the market. QLED and OLED- both sound similar, but differentiation is necessary to know for buying decision.

QLED TVs are LED TVs with the use of Quantum Dots. It is so to enhance performance in key picture quality areas. The brightness of QLED TV may be mind-blowing to exceeding any competing TV technology. It may offer better black levels than other LED TVs and may reproduce more colors than other LED TVs, which don't use Quantum Dots technology.

Organic Light-Emitting Diode (OLED) means when electricity reaches, the organic compounds that made OLEDs are light up. OLED TV can be made thinner and flexible than QLED TVs providing more realistic and dazzling image as it has deeper black level than QLED TV. When the lights go down, OLED TVs are the more attractive choice.

According to pocket-lint, Samsung's all QLED models use edge-lit LED system, some are lit from the sides and some bottom as this is divided into dimming zones. In brightness issue, QLED TVs are the winner over OLED TVs as QLED TVs use Quantum Dots technology. They may able to make all colors brighter in available spectrum without losing saturation. OLED TVs have higher response rate than QLED TVs.

QLED screens can be best viewed from dead center, its picture quality including color and contrast diminishes if moving side to side. But OLED screens can be viewed up to 84 degrees without luminance degradation. QLED TVs are the winner in size and lifespan issues over OLED TVs.

In OLED TVs, the light up compounds degrades over time. But, QLED TVs are not susceptible to burn-in. OLED TVs consume less power than QLED TVs. The cost of both TVs is about the same.
