There are a lot of things to watch out for in the Windows 10 Redstone 3 test build, features which are more or less coming for the famed operating system. Among the highlights include the Windows Defender Application Guard and the PDF Annotation, a couple of add-ons that should come in handy.
The PC Fast Ring test build for Redstone 3 Build 16188 rolled out last May 4. Users running on the Enterprise edition of Windows 10 can also check it out and see for themselves how the new add-ons pan out.
The Windows Defender Application Guard was already mentioned even before the Windows 10 Creators update was released. It seems that the program lacked fine-tuning and Microsoft is now trying to assess its performance by including it via its latest builds.
For the benefit of those unfamiliar with the Windows Defender Application Guard, the feature codenamed as “Barcelona,” is tasked to protect users from threats like malware and zero-day attacks. It does this by isolating websites using its Edge browser. The feature is a great way to make sure that hacking intent is not spread over networks, particularly for workstations in offices or large networks, ZDNet reports.
The other feature is the Edge PDF reader which will help users fill in PDF forms and perform the usual stuff like printing or saving them. They can also add annotations on the Edge browser via the “Make a Web Note” button according to the Windows blog.
Aside from the Windows Defender Application Guard and the PDF Annotation feature, the latest Windows 10 Redstone 3 build also includes new fixes to the Windows 10 Mobile. That would include addressing the Glance screen and token issue some users may have come across. There are plenty of new features to test out with the Redmond company taking the opportunity to figure out which features would be included in the next Windows 10 Creators update.
