Samsung is rumored to be developing a smartphone under its 'C' series that would sport a dual rear camera setup. This news, revealed by tweets from a Chinese leakster, also names the handset as Samsung Galaxy C10.
Earlier, there had been reports about the Galaxy Note 8 sporting the twin camera setup. However, the same report had highlighted that the Galaxy Note 8 would not be Samsung's first smartphone to have this feature.
This makes the Samsung Galaxy C10 the first Samsung handset to sport the dual camera setup. It also indicates that the Galaxy C10 would be released before the Galaxy Note 8 that is scheduled to release in August.
The tweets that announced the device's name as Samsung Galaxy C10 also said that it will carry the model number SM-CM9150. However, the images unveiled the dual camera setup on the back panel of the device. As reported by Phone Arena, the absence of a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner might mean that the home button will double as a fingerprint scanner.
The Samsung Galaxy C10 is rumored to also have a dedicated key for Bixby button, like the S8 and S8 Plus. The Smartphone will have the Snapdragon 660 processor that is scheduled to be released by Qualcomm on May 9. The Snapdragon 660, also seen on Nokia 8, is being looked at as an affordable version of the more powerful Snapdragon 835.
As mentioned in Android Soul, the device can be safely assumed to have 6 GB of RAM, like the Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro. The date of release of the Galaxy C10 is not known. However, word is that it would be out by the third quarter of 2017.
Nothing more is known of the Samsung Galaxy C10 as of now. But it is safe to say that it is the first Samsung Smartphone out of the gate with the dual camera setup on its back panel and that is exciting enough.
