‘Clash of Clans’ May 2017 Update: Supercell Releases Second Boat Teaser! Online Leak Regarding Shipwreck Details, Faked?

May 08, 2017 06:02 PM EDT

The massively popular online game, "Clash of Clans," is all but ready to roll out its biggest update ever, the Shipwreck. Supercell has just released the second teaser video for the new feature which also coincided with an online leak containing supposed details of the broken boat.

According to All Clash, the second teaser video of the Shipwreck feature was released on May 8 and it shows a Hog Rider aboard a boat in the middle of the sea. The Hog Rider is speculating about possible new friends he could meet in the new world.

The "Clash of Clans" teaser doesn't provide information about the Shipwreck, however. Instead of giving its fans solid answers, the video raises more questions which lead to further speculations about its details.

However, Supercell gave a number of hints in this second video. First off, the Hog Rider aboard the boat wondering about "new friends" could mean that "Clash of Clans" will finally introduce the long-rumored feature, the Clan Alliances. It could also mean, although highly unlikely but certainly listed high in fans wish-list, that these new friends could be new characters to be introduced into the game with the Shipwreck.

Another hint in the Shipwreck teaser video for "Clash of Clans" is the purported Night Mode. While this one is pretty much far-fetched, the time during which the Hog Rider on the boat is sailing is close to night time, signifying the new game mode.

Meanwhile, the online leak regarding the Shipwreck could have been faked. While some of them make sense and could be added into the game eventually, Supercell on its official forum have offered a disclaimer that it would be purely coincidental if some of the items in the supposed leak make it to "Clash of Clans."

Also, there has been a lot of talk going around about new perks for higher level Clans that would be implemented with the Shipwreck update. The bad news for "Clash of Clans" players whose teams are at level 11 or higher is that Supercell reportedly ruled this out since giving out new perks, such as donating resources, would put lower level clans more at a disadvantage.

That being said, the Shipwreck feature including the broken boat is supposedly the most massive update for "Clash of Clans" ever and it is only fitting that Supercell withholds information regarding this potentially game-changing feature until its launch date. By all accounts, there would be at least a couple more video teasers about this broken boat. One thing is for sure, however, the update will not come before the 12th of May.
