The classic fighter game “Garou: Mark of the Wolves” would be available on Nintendo Switch on May 11 for $7.99. However, experts recommend for fans of the game to buy it on PlayStation 4 or Vita instead. The game is also available on PC but has issues.

Destructoid explains that “Garou: Mark of the Wolves” is an ACA Neo Geo joint game. It would not have online play which means some of the platforms must be reworked to accommodate the game. If purchased on Nintendo Switch, it could be played with friends locally. Its release on Nintendo Switch means the game would be playable on the go and could be played using arcade sticks when at home.

Moreover, there is no official arcade stick for the Nintendo Switch although Hori is supposed to make one. But there is no date or price for the arcade stick. Despite these issues, “Garou: Mark of the Wolves” is one of the most polished and highly acclaimed fighting games of all time, Nintendo Life points out.

Except for young Rock Howard and series lead Terry Bogard, “Garou: Mark of the Wolves” would debut almost new characters. The game website says the game would be a great brawler to tide players until the release in the later part of May “Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers.” Another fighting game to watch out for on the Nintendo Switch is “The King of Fighters ’98.”

“Garou: Mark of the Wolves” would be available on the Nintendo Switch eShop, Shoryuken reports. The game was initially released in 1999 which was noticed by gamers because it was radically different from previous games in the “Fatal Fury” series, or “Garou Densetsu” in Japan. Besides the new characters, the game coming out on Nintendo Switch would feature top-notch animation and new Just Defend mechanics which earned the game good marks when compared to the “Street Fighter II” series of Capcom.
