Galaxy S8, the latest edition in the Samsung Galaxy Series, will hit the market with a very exciting feature. Some of the devices are set to be launched in some selected market with a bit of extra added security. The devices will be released with Gemalto's embedded Secure Element (eSE) smart chip which will secure any data in transmission such as the Samsung Pay.
According to Android Headlines, the smart chip(eSE) is tamper proof and runs on a secured operating system. This makes the technology much difficult to crack, making the likes of Samsung Pay or any online data transmission much secured than any other devices. The announcement of using the chip(eSE) in Samsung Galaxy S8 has been done by the Gemalto's press website on may 4.
There is still no confirmation from either Samsung or Gemalto on which selected market these devices of Samsung Galaxy S8 will be made available. In the past, Samsung has also used the smart chip(eSE) in its Galaxy A Series as well as in the China's Galaxy C series.
According to Gsm Arena, Samsung Galaxy S8 will be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 octa-core CPU and will be supported by the Adreno 540 GPU. The 64 GB spacious smartphone with 4 GB of memory will have a dedicated SD card slot for the single sim variants and a hybrid SD slot for the dual sim variants.
Samsung is claiming to be providing the best camera in its class for the Galaxy S8. The 12 MP, f/1.7 lens does provide a quality picture. The secondary camera is a 8 MP autofocus camera capable of capturing crisp quality selfies. The device will have a Non-removable Li-Ion 3000 mAh battery with a Quick Charge 2.0 feature. This may not provide a marathon service but enough see out a day's usage.
