Samsung Galaxy J5 (2017) Smartphone Certified By FCC Witth Three Models Revealed

Samsung Galaxy J5 (2017) gets the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) certification. The FCC listing reveals that three variants of the smartphone have received the certification. There are speculations that the Galaxy J5 (2017) will soon hit the tech market.

According to GSMArena, the Samsung Galaxy J5 (2017) spotted on FCC has three variants with different model numbers- the SM-J530GM, the SM-530YM/DS and the SM-J530GM/DS. These three variants are reportedly said to have managed to pass the FCC certification and the report is generated in April.

It is reported that the Samsung Galaxy J5 (2017) smartphone have already received the Wi-Fi certifications, benchmarked at Geekbench and GFXBench. The FCC certification is considered the last step before the launch of any smartphone into the tech market.

According to Android Headlines, the FCC report does not give many details of the smartphone. The Samsung Galaxy J5 (2017) is speculated to feature a 5-inch or the 4.8-inch screen instead of the 5.2-inch currently featured in the 2016 model.

It is expected that the smartphone will be powered by the Samsung-made Exynos 7870 system-on-chip (SoC) paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage and a microSD card slot. It is also speculated that Samsung Galaxy J5 (2017) will run on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system. It will also feature a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front sensor.

The previous model of Samsung Galaxy J5 launched last year featured a 5.20-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 720 pixels by 1280 pixels. Under the hood, it is powered by 1.2GHz quad-core paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card. It sports a 13-megapixel primary camera on the rear and a 5-megapixel front shooter for selfies. 

Samsung has not confirmed the arrival and rumors on the Galaxy J5 (2017) smartphone. However, these many certifications till date reveal that the smartphone will soon arrive into the tech market. Stay tuned for more updates.
