With the growing demand on graphics requirement rendering, the Nvidia GT 1030 looms as one of the top entry-level cards for gamers once it hits the market. To date, there is no word on when it would be hitting the market but a leaked photo of the card hints at the potential release of the long overdue successor.

For those familiar with the Nvidia line of GPUs, the Nvidia GT 1030 is technically an entry-level piece. The GT prefix is normally associated with budget and entry-level graphics cards, meaning it should cost under $100. Looking over the specs, the Nvidia GT 1030 seems to be leaning more on the GTX line which costs beyond the $100 price mark.

The leaked image of the Nvidia GT 1030 comes from Digital Trends. It shows the actual graphics chip including the box art and a slim graphics card with one cooling fan. Other notable features the GPU had included an HDMI 2.0b port and a DVI-D port.

Referencing to the specs rendered by Yahoo, the Nvidia GT 1030 is overclocked but backed by a heatsink which covers a large part of the GPU card’s surface, including the cooling fan. Summing up the specs, the supposed entry-level card would technically fall under the Nvidia GTX series which caters to the mid to high-end market. Assuming no changes are made, the eventual beneficiary here would be the customers into eSports or gaming.

For what it is worth, the Nvidia GT graphics card niche has not seen an update since the Nvidia GT 740 in 2014. Hence, it is high time that a successor comes out which most anticipate being the Nvidia GT 1030. Looking at the market right now, the only graphics card that falls under the $100 category for Nvidia is the GeForce GTX 1050. Despite having only 2 GB of onboard memory, the GT 1030 should be enough to address the graphics requirement players would need to enjoy the high-resolution level of games.
