THQ Nordic To Release ‘Darksiders 3’ In 2018: Gives Game Fans Peek Via CG Teaser Trailer

“Darksiders 3” would officially release in 2018, according to THQ Nordic, the game publisher, which rolled out a CG teaser trailer on Wednesday, May 3. It would be an action adventure game that players, especially fans of “Darksiders,” would dream of, Lars Wingefors, the CEO and co-founder of THQ Nordic says.

Eurogamer notes that something which looks like a placeholder points to a December 2018 release date for “Darksiders 3.” The game would release for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The character that gamers could play is Fury, a mage that uses whip and magic to bring back the balance between good and evil on Earth.

Fury is the very unpredictable, but the most enigmatic among the Four Horsemen previous “Darksider” games. But gamers then played either War or Death, two of the four siblings. The fourth sibling is Strife. Gunfire Games is the developer of “Darksiders 3.” Vigil Games, the original publisher of the “Darksiders 1” and “Darksiders 2,” went under after THQ also went bust. Nordic, which became THQ Nordic, picked up the franchise and released recently remastered versions of the first two games.

The release of the new trailer for ‘Darksiders 3” confirms the franchise has a future after the collapse of THQ, the previous publisher, GameSpot reports. Besides the trailer, a product page on Amazon provides more details about the upcoming adventure game in which gamers play the mage named Fury. According to Amazon, players could explore an open-ended and living game world that would be form-free as Fury tries to discover secrets that would beat the Seven Deadly Sins and their servants.

Gematsu adds that “Darksiders 3” would feature the game’s signature art style. Fans of the game would see the expansive post-apocalyptic environment. The upcoming game would bring its players “from the heights of heaven to the depths of hell” which have been dilapidated by war and decay and overrun by nature.
