Most Beloved Iconic White MacBook Is Now Obsolete, Effectively Dead To Apple

Apple officially announced its vintage and obsolete products list, which includes the last iconic plastic 13-inch white MacBook model of 2010, some 2009 MacBook Pro models and iPhone 3G models. Apple first introduced the last version of unibody polycarbonate MacBook in 2009 in two colors - white and black. Due to the huge popularity of aluminum designed MacBook Pro and MacBook Air, the 13-inch white MacBook was dismissed in mid-2011.

According to Apple, the static rules state that the owner of iPhone, iPad, iPod or Mac products will get service from Apple service providers for five years or more after the last manufacturing date. Reports have proclaimed that the products which are not manufactured for more or less five to seven years are called vintage products. While the products which have been discontinued for more than seven years are called obsolete products.

It is the rule that Apple Company no longer provides services for the obsolete products. But reports proclaimed that there are some exceptions in the case of the vintage products. Like the owners of vintage Mac products of Turkey and California will get services from Apple service providers, within the country only.

According to Mac Rumors, the Apple's list of vintage and obsolete products are vintage for the US and obsolete for the rest of the world. The newly updated obsolete and the vintage list of Apple includes; the 13-inch MacBook of mid-2010 and MacBook Pro of mid-2009 along with the 15-inch MacBook Pro series of mid-2009. Reports have stated that along with the MacBook Series, Apple has also included some iPhone 3G models to the "iPhone products obsolete worldwide" list.

It's Apple Company's criteria to check regularly on the non-manufactured or discontinued products. As soon as the newer versions of products appear, the five or seven years' older products are enlisted under Apple's obsolete and vintage list. So the third and last version of the unibody polycarbonate white MacBook will no longer be available for any services from Apple service providers. Practically and theoretically it's dead to Apple.
