"Blaster Master Zero" Update 1.2 is now available for the Nintendo Switch and will be coming soon to the Nintendo 3DS. Update 1.2 brings Destroyer Mode, which was said to be more difficult than usual, and also the EX Character Mode that allows players to use DLC characters from different series in the game.

According to Game Spot, right after downloading the update 1.2, players can access Destroyer Mode after "Blaster Master Zero" once. In "Blaster Master Zero," overworld areas and defeating enemy's techniques is simple as players just have to evade the fragments then enemies send out when defeated. The items players find in areas and dropped by mid-class bosses might also differ from the ones in the standard game.

According to Gematsu, "Blaster Master Zero" new type of character Gunvolt has Flashfield and Prevasion abilities, while Ekoro has Angelic abilities and Desert Angel guns.Gunvolt will be available on May 4 while Ekoro will debut on June 1. Each of this character can be downloaded for free for the first two weeks, and after the promotional period, prices will start to jump at $1.99 each.
