HTC U 11 Leaks, Specs Update: HTC U 11 Squeezable Smartphone Seen On AnTuTu With Android 7.1.1 & 4GB RAM

HTC U 11, the next flagship smartphone from HTC has been recently seen on the Geekbench benchmarking platform. The smartphone is scheduled to launch on May 16 has now made its way through Antutu to reveal its specifications.

According to Antutu listing, spotted by PriceRaja, HTC U 11 will offer a 5.5-inch Quad HD display and will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 chipset. The benchmarked smartphone will be offering 4GB RAM, 64GB storage and is likely to arrive in other storage variants as well. The listing suggests that HTC U 11 runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat with HTC's Sense 9 skin on top.

The HTC U 11 is expected to have a 16MP rear camera and a 12MP selfie camera. This contradicts what the retail packaging spotted by MySmartPrice suggests. As per the retail packaging, the handset will offer 12MP main shooter and the selfie camera is said to be 16MP.

HTC U 11 said to have HTC BoomSound, Hi-Res Audio, HTC Usonic, and fingerprint reader. The retail packaging leak also suggests at option for a 6GB RAM variant and IP57 water resistance, as reported by Digit.

The HTC U 11 is also said to have a 3000mAh non-removable battery with support for Quick Charge 3.0. For connectivity, the device offers options including 4G LTE dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, GPS with GLONASS, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, and USB 3.1 Type-C. However, the presence of a 3.5mm headphone jack has not been confirmed as of now.

HTC U 11 is offering top-notch specifications; the highlight will be the new Edge Sense feature. According to famous leakster Evan Blass, the HTC U 11 will feature frame-embedded sensors - allowing users to navigate the device by squeezing or swiping along its edges.

The support for gesture-based navigation is said to be baked into Sense 9 user interface. The HTC U 11 is said to boast a design similar to that of the HTC U Ultra and will likely come in white, black, blue, red, and silver color options. For the release date, as said earlier, the smartphone is scheduled to launch on 16th May.
