Samsung Gear S3 Gets Samsung Pay Service, New Chart Reveals Compatibility With iOS And Other Devices

Samsung might be gearing up to boost the sales of Gear S3 smartwatch. After the smartwatch was seen with the amazing price cut in the United States, the company has announced that its watch can be now used for Samsung's mobile payments service - Samsung Pay. The company has launched this feature exclusively for the owners of Samsung Gear S3 in Korea.

The company has also released a chart showing the compatibility of its smartwatch with Samsung Android smartphones, other androids, and iOS smartphones with respect to calls, notifications and apps, emails, Samsung Pay, Health services and watch face.

According to GSMArena, the Samsung's new service in the Gear S3 smartwatch will surely boost the sales as it is reported that the user will have an easy way of making payments without getting the smartphone out. It is reported that the service is currently supported on Samsung, Hyundai, Lotte or Hana credit cards in South Korea. In addition, the support for KB Kookmin cards is reported to arrive soon.

According to Samsung's latest announcement shown in the form of a chart has complete details of its smartwatch level of compatibility with the smartphones other than the Samsung android devices i.e. other android smartphones, iOS and Samsung devices.

It is reported that the company recommends the use of Gear S3 Classic and Frontier smartwatches with any of its android smartphones for complete compatibility of notifications, calls, messaging, email, apps, Samsung Pay, S health, and watch face. However, the Samsung Gear S3 users, who would like to use the watch with other android smartphones will get complete compatibility for notifications, apps, Samsung Pay, S health, and watch face. These users will have limited compatibility to calls, messaging, and email.

For the Samsung Gear S3 users willing to use the iOS-based smartphone, then email and Samsung Pay features are not compatible, while the calls, messaging, apps, watch face and S health have limited compatibility.
