Apple News: iPhone 7 Plus Mysteriously Pop Up On Ebay With Big Price-Off

Apr 26, 2017 05:43 PM EDT

The iPhone 8, 7s and 7s Plus have been plaguing the headlines as of late with most expecting them to launch (hopefully) by September. There are conflicting takes on which Apple flagships will be debuting so current buyers may want to focus on the iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus for the meantime.

Right now, the price for both the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are fairly the same. It costs $749.99 in the market and the price is unlikely to change until the impending coming of the new breed of Apple phones is near. Of the two, the iPhone 7 Plus would be the best buy if one is given the choice. It is the latest model with high-end specs and is technically a phablet.

For the benefit of those who are looking for one, there is a refurbished iPhone 7 Plus spotted over on eBay. For some reason, the Apple phablet is being offered for just $549.99, 25-percent off the original price tag and with Apple warranty good for five months. A 30-day money-back guarantee is also in play of the buyer is not satisfied.

The catch here is that the spotted iPhone 7 Plus is refurbished, meaning it is not necessarily fresh. According to the seller, it has been restored by a carrier-approved vendor which means most parts used are original and has gone through the proper inspection. There are minor scratches and minor dents but these should not be much of a problem for folks who merely want a device they can use daily, GSM Arena reported.

There is also the issue of where the refurbished iPhone 7 Plus would be compatible with. It is compatible with GSM networks though it excludes US carriers like Sprint, Verizon and US Cellular. For those who don’t mind that, it should be a good buy to consider.

Those looking for some savings, this could be a sensible buy. If not, they can always wait until the latter part of the year for a brand new iPhone 7 Plus which will surely see a (slight) drop in price.
