The Japan-based Smartphone manufacturer has officially announced that Sony Xperia XA1 will hit the US market on May 1. For those who can't wait to grab this handset can start pre-ordering it now via Amazon and Best buy for $300 or $299.99 to be exact.
Using the typical Xperia design, Sony Xperia XA1 will have the classic thin bezels and rectangular shape. Measuring an edge-to-edge 5-inch display screen, the phone has a resolution of 720p (also edge-to-edge).
Sony Xperia XA1 will employ MediaTek Helio P20 octa-core 64-bit processor under the hood coupled with 3GB of RAM and Image Enhance Technology. Sony's soon-to-be-launched mobile also has pretty big internal memory of 32GB that can be expanded via microSD (up to 256GB).
Just like its predecessors, Sony Xperia XA1 rear camera setup is remarkably great. Boasting a 23-megapixel rear camera with a 1/2.3-inch Exmor R for mobile image sensor, Sony Xperia XA1 can produce a good quality picture that looks vibrant and alive.
SlashGear gives a report that it's also possible to zoom lens the photo without having a blurred result thanks to the 4x Clear Image Zoom as well as Sony's SteadyShot tech. With that being said, Sony has never planned its handset to be considered as selfie phone as the front-facing snapper of Sony Xperia XA1 sports only an 8-megapixel with a 1/4" Exmor R for mobile image sensor and a f/2.0 lens.
In term of music, Sony Xperia XA1 will still bring the trademark features of Xperia device which are xLoud, Clear Audio+, and Stereo Recording as well as the Bluetooth 4.2. It's very unfortunate that this android handset's battery capacity is very small compared to other mid-range handsets, sporting only 2,300 mAh with Qnovo Adaptive Charging and the well-known STAMINA Mode.
Sony Xperia XA1 will be offered with Android 7.1 Nougat Operating System out-of-the-box with white, black, pink, and gold color options. Customers can pre-order the device right now through a number of retail websites, including Amazon, Best Buy, B&H Photo, Fry's Electronics, and many others.
Sony Xperia XA1 will have two versions, the unlocked edition and carriers' variants that support GSM networks like AT&T and T-Mobile. The Japan-based Smartphone manufacturer has a plan to launch the larger version of Sony Xperia XA1, XA1 Ultra with a 6-inch display panel and 1080p resolution this spring alongside with its latest mobile, Xperia XZ Premium. Pricing for both of these devices has yet to be revealed, as reported by Androidauthority.
