After taking the top spot for years, surveys says Apple MacBook Pro is no longer the best laptop. It has fallen in the fifth were overtaken by Lenovo, Asus, Dell, and HP. Apple has tied with Acer in the fifth spot. So this article is all about discussing five possible reasons why Apple MacBook Pro is not the best laptop today.
Laptops today are usually equipped with 8 GB to 16GB RAMs. And although this isn’t a really bad spec, many users today need higher RAMS to be able to use heavier software to their laptops. For that reason, it's inevitable that people start looking for 32GB RAMs which is unfortunately not offered by Apple MacBook Pro.
Although MacBook Pros today are equipped with an impressive retina screen resolution, according to 9 to 5 Mac, it seems it's not enough to cater to the needs of its users. Nowadays, people prefer to have 4K screen resolution, especially for professionals in the art department, network administration, data analysis and much more. 4K screen resolution just makes their work so much easier that people are willing to try other brands for it.
Another reason why many users have ventured out to try new brands is to get better specs for their 13-inch laptops. At the moment, MacBook Pro only offers quad-core processors in their 15 inch and 17-inch laptops. However, many users now prefer smaller laptops yet still equipped with powerful CPUs to use a heavier software.
Bluetooth is another issue that many users have with MacBook Pro. Users use this feature to connect other devices to their laptop including phone, tablets, and even audio accessories. For that reason, it wouldn’t be practical for them to get a new laptop that doesn’t support it, according to Tech Republic.
Last but not the least is the MacBook Pro’s battery life. Apple says the laptop has a battery life of 10 hours but this is based on the standard use of consumers. For those who use heavy software or do a lot of work with their laptop, they can expect less battery life.
