AT&T Starting To Roll Out Software Updates For Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus At 300MB

Verizon previously released its software package for Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus users, and AT&T is now following up with a 300MB update of their own. AT&T's update started rolling out over the weekend that will soon be deployed in stages. By this, some users might have to wait a while before they receive the OTA software update notification.

According to Android Police, Verizon's update will also bring some other physical button changes such as the ability to answer a call using the Volume Up button. AT&T might bring the similar functionalities to its own Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus customers. In addition, the update is likely to install the latest Android security patches on Galaxy S8 and S8+ and tag along regular bug fixes and system improvements.

Starting at 300MB, there are likely to be quite a few feature additions on the new update from AT&T. Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus users are advised to update to the new version of the operating system as soon as it's made available; security patches might come along with this AT&T update.

According to Android Headlines, Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 devices are expected and studied to sell at least 40 million units with the year of 2017 while some smartphone analyst's estimates put it as high as 60 million. There's no question that these devices come with great characteristics starting with their edge-to-edge Infinity Displays and powerful internals powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835.

Consumers must also have to keep in mind that 2017 is going to see several more premium smartphones coming out from the likes of Google, Apple, Huawei, and even Samsung.
