Blackberry KEYone: Specs, Features, Now Available For Pre-order In The UK For £499

Earlier this month, the BlackBerry KEYone listing on UK retailer Clove's website confirmed that shipments might begin May 5. Unfortunately, the date has been pushed back, with the listing now showing "week commencing" May 22 as the scheduled time for the first stock to arrive.

Specs-wise, the Blackberry KEYone is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, 3GB of RAM and a 32GB of internal storage with the ability to be expanded to 2TB of storage memory, and a 12-megapixel rear camera and 8-megapixel front camera with a fixed focus f2.2 aperture.

The camera of the Blackberry KEYone has a 6-element f2.0 lens with HDR mounted at the back of the smartphone, which enables it to have fast focus lock. The Blackberry KEYone smartphone also have a face Detection Auto Focus, image stabilization, 4x digital zoom and dual tone LED flash.

According to Android Central, the Blackberry KEYone smartphone is powered by a 3505mAh battery capacity, a 4G connectivity, WiFi support for both 2.4 and 5GHz frequencies. Bluetooth 4.2 and USB type-c connectivity, FM radio and NFC compatible with Android Pay. Android 7.1 (Nougat) is pre-installed on the Blackberry KEYone which gives access to all of the popular Google services and apps through the Play Store.

The Blackberry KEYone smartphone comes with a nano-sized SIM slot and this makes it compatible with any global nano-sized SIM card. However, international customers are advised to check the GSM frequencies in the specification and contact their local network provider for full compatibility reported Clove.

The security of the Blackberry KEYone Smartphone has been given a priority as the phone is built with a DTEK app, which protects the device from a possible threat. The smartphone also has a fingerprint sensor to protect the device from unauthorized access.
