Facebook now allows users to share music from Spotify through their messenger. This integration is part of the new extensions found in Facebook Messenger and everything is very easy to use. Moreover, Facebook says integration with Apple Music will also come in the near future.

According to Android Authority, integrating music from Spotify can be done in four easy steps. Just tap the + button found at the bottom of the app. Then select Spotify and search for the song that the user wants to share. Once the song is found, users can then quickly share a 30-second clip of the song to all their friends on Messenger. However, if any of the users want to listen to the complete song, they will need to open Spotify.

Spotify’s audio streaming services provides more than 30 million song selection. Music can be browsed by artist, genre, song title, album, playlist and even record labels so users can easily find the music they want. Its app can be used on most modern devices including iOS, Android OS, macOS, Windows, and Linux computers. Unlike other sites, Spotify compensates their artist by the number of streams each song receives. The company distributes about 70% of revenue to the rights owners who will be the one to give artist their percentage.

Facebook Messenger is one of the most used app in today’s time. It has a record of holding up to 1.2 billion active users every month. And to keep their users happy, they continue to add new feature including Spotify that will cater to the needs of music lovers. Facebook also announced that they plan to add more apps in the future, including Apple Music according to Macworld.

As of today, Facebook already features chat extensions including TheScore, Food Network, OpenTable, Wall Street Journal, NBA, and Kayak. According to reports, more companies are expected to join the extension service.
