Latest updates reveal that the "Guardians of the Galaxy" comic is getting its own "Guardians of the Galaxy" adventure game. According to reports, details about the upcoming game was revealed on Marvel's website.
The new "Guardians of the Galaxy" adventure game, which is named "Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series," is inspired by the movie from which its title is derived "the Guardians of the Galaxy." Although the game is based on the comic book incarnation of the team, it is not directly based on the movie versions of the team or the characters from the movie.
It is reported that the comic will be written by Fred Van Lente while Salva Espin will be in charge of art. The game's developer has also released a new screenshot from the game, which seemingly revealed that Star-Lord, Groot and Drax will have to face Thanos. Telltale is yet to reveal more details about the new "Guardians of the Galaxy adventure game," but it did mention that the Guardians will be faced with a quest to find an artifact of great power after an epic battle.
However, following lots of teasers, Telltale Games has released the first teaser video for the new "Guardians of the Galaxy" adventure game. Even though the trailer does not reveal much about the new game, it is said to be the first official look at what Telltale has to offer. The video showcased amazing images, quotes and interesting fight scenes.
The video also confirmed that the Guardians will have to stand up against Thanos in the game, as he descended to cause chaos and destruction upon the Nova Force. It is reported by Gizmodo that the Guardians will be left with no choice but to step in and help stop Thanos, which will be achieved only with the aid of pure determination and pop music. Meanwhile, fans are expecting that the new "Guardians of the Galaxy" adventure game will introduce something new, different from the movie.
The first of five episodes in the series, "Tangled Up in Blue", was scheduled to be available on PS4, Xbox One, PC, Mac, and other mobile devices for $5 April 18 and new updates suggest that Telltale has already released the first episode of the "Guardians of the Galaxy" adventure game to Google Play. According to Android Authority, the game costs $4.99 on the service.
While many fans are excited about the release of the first episode, they should remember that the fun is yet to begin as Marvel is set to release the movie sequel, "Guardians of the Galaxy" Vol. 2 in a couple of weeks. It is reported that Telltale is currently working on a second episodic game series based on a comic, "The Walking Dead - A New Frontier."
Although not yet available for Android devices, reports have it that the third Episode of the five-part series is already rolling out to other platforms. The new "Guardians of the Galaxy" adventure game is set in the game's world, but the part series is actually a prequel to events of the game, which is controlled by the choice of a player. It is believed that it would be hard to make a comic out of the new game.
