Purchase Of ‘Marvel Heroes Omega’ Founder’s Packs Gives Gamers A Chance To Join Closed Beta On PS4

Apr 19, 2017 10:53 AM EDT

On Friday, April 21, the closed beta for the PlayStation 4 of the action-RPG/MMO hybrid “Marvel Heroes Omega” would go live. Players who want to be part of the closed beta for PS4 could get a chance to be selected if they buy any of the Founder’s Pack. On the same day, the packs would go on sale on the PlayStation Store of the game’s official website.

GameSpot reports that PlayStation Plus members who are playing the closed beta of “Marvel Heroes Omega” would have access to added bonuses. The bonuses include in-game currency discounts, a free Daredevil costume, and other exclusive access to select Heroes which are time-limited. In 2013, “Marvel Heroes” was originally launched on PC, while the new game is its latest iteration.

Console Version

Although the console version of “Marvel Heroes Omega” has almost similar content to the game’s PC version, to include the story mode, extra modes, challenges, and difficulties, the console version features local co-op. That feature allows the player and a friend to play together with other online players. It also has minor tweaks such as UI adjustments and gamepad controls.

IGN adds that the final game on console would bring 38 characters at the launch. Iron Fist and War Machine would be exclusive for six months to the Founder’s Pack, which those PS4 owners who want to be part of the “Marvel Heroes Omega” must purchase to have chance to be part of the closed beta. The six packs are the “Avengers” Founder’s Pack, “Deadpool” Founders Pack, “Guardians of Galaxy” Founder’s Pack, “Spider-Man” Founder’s Pack, “War Machine” Founder’s Pack, and “X-Men” Founder’s Pack.

Staggered Approach To Release

Gazillion, the developer, is shifting to consoles for the action RPG based on Marvel heroes as part of its staggered approach to the release of “Marvel Heroes Omega.” Two versions would be released on different schedules to ensure the best possible experience for gamers on both platforms would be delivered. VG247 points out the approach is typical for free-to-play games.
