The Samsung Galaxy S8 is not the only one getting the attention and may, in fact, faces stiff competition from the Xiaomi Mi 6. If rumors hold true, the Xiaomi Mi 6 could end up offering better specs than what the Korean company has to offer.
Among the features, the Xiaomi Mi 6 will reportedly carry include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC, an Adreno 540 GPU and 6 GB of RAM. It will run on the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat. From the leaked specs from @Slashleaks, those pretty much seem similar to the Samsung Galaxy S8. So what will the Xiaomi Mi 6 have to offer to make it a preference over the latest Samsung flagship?
The answer to that may be in the multi-core that the Xiaomi Mi 6 will be carrying. If true, the Chinese-made handset could come with more power, a necessity for folks filling up their phones with apps and wanting to maximize its functionality which includes longer use for folks on the go.
To complete the rumored specs, other notable features of the Xiaomi Mi 6 include a 5.1-inch full HD display, 64/ 128 GB of internal storage, a 12 MP main camera and a front-facing 8 MP camera. For power needs, it will reportedly come out with wireless charging capability too. Though it was not mentioned, it would not be surprising to find the Xiaomi Mi 6 coming with some advanced biometric security feature like a fingerprint sensor (at the least).
The official specs of the Xiaomi Mi 6 should be out in a couple of days. According to NDTV, it is set to debut on April 19 which may probably be just a couple of hours once this piece is published. Folks who could care less about branding may want to take a closer look. Then again, there is one concern – that of which is the availability of the Xiaomi Mi 6 in certain regions.
