HTC One X10 Launched In Russia; No Official Update On The Global Launch Of The Device

HTC recently launched a new mid-range smartphone with a metallic design called the HTC One X10. However, the HTC One X10 is currently available in Russia for 19,990 Rubles, which is around $355. But there is still no update from the developer on when the device will be available in the United States.

The HTC One X10 is expected to go sale in Russia at the end of April but there is no update on when the device will receive a global launch. But most tech enthusiasts believe that this might never happen as the developer could think that the new device is not high-end and thus dispense with the need for global launch altogether. Others believe that the device can only be made available worldwide if the developer would launch it with a lower price tag.

According to The Verge, the HTC One X10 sports a 5.5-inch full HD 1080p display, 3GB of RAM and a 4000mAh battery that reportedly delivers two days backup with a single charge. The report also states that the rear panel of the device looks much like the HTC One M series with a fingerprint scanner, while the front panel of the HTC One X10 is similar to the HTC 10.

The HTC One X10 in also available in Black and Silver color variants. The new device is powered by a MediaTek Helio P10 chipset and 32GB of internal storage that is expandable up to 2TB via microSD card slot. In terms of connectivity, it is reported that the device supports Bluetooth 4.2, GLONASS, DLNA, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g /n, GPS, and Miracast, and dual-SIM connectivity coupled with 4G LTE compatibility for the two SIM slots.

Meanwhile, the new smartphone also features 8-megapixel front-facing camera supported by fixed-focus, f/2.2 aperture, and BSI sensor. The HTC One X10 also has a 16-megapixel f/2.0 rear camera paired with LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, and BSI sensor. It is also reported that the rear camera of the HTC One X10 has other features including RAW format support, face detection, Hyperlapse, Pro mode with manual settings, Camera Zoe and Panorama, according to WCCFTech.

The HTC One X10 is expected to run on the developer's phone Sense software, but the HTC is yet to reveal the specific Android version. according to reports, fans can expect to see the new device with since it is no new that HTC is currently shipping most of its MediaTek-based devices like HTC U Play with Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The developer is yet to reveal any official plan for a global launch for the HTC One X10.
