Apr 18, 2017 11:15 AM EDT

As Microsoft has declared that the release of Xbox 2 will be no sooner than 2018 and might even be on 2020, the spotlight is now on Project Scorpio. However, the Xbox Two might even be an absolute reboot of Xbox One. However, by the responses of Xbox loyalists indicate that they believe Project Scorpio is Next-Gen as they see it.

According to Expert Reviews, Project Scorpio is a console that offers disc-based gaming, along with striking features like a 4K GPU and Virtual Reality enabled, Polaris-based AMD. It is also known that it will have 12 GB of GDDR5 system memory along with a bandwidth of 326 GB per second. While Microsoft is yet to declare the official name of this console, reports say that it may be just named "Xbox Scorpio".

Coming to the news from PlayStation Universe Sony is said to be expecting a level-up in the competition by incorporating a new technology in the next PlayStation. PS 5 is rumored to sport the feature of Photorealism. Photorealism would enable the gamer to take a real photograph and then translate it into another medium.

However, Sony's giant leap is being doubted by JakubMikyska, a developer at Grip-Digital, who claims that Photorealism has low chances of happening in the near future. Mikyska suggests that Sony should bring about the improvement of rendering offline films in PS 5, something that has not yet been achieved by the company.

The PS 5 should be rolling out in the market by November 2020. Meanwhile, through an Xbox press release, it was declared that Xbox Project Scorpio will be unveiled at this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo event. With both the tech giants releasing their Next-Generation consoles at almost the same time, one can only wait for further updates on features to judge who has the upper hand.
