Verizon, a global communications & technology leader, which is globally known for its wireless networks (4g and 5g) and all other hi-tech innovations, has surprised technophiles about the impending launch of its exclusive Android Wear 2.0 smartwatch, named Wear24. The wireless carrier is set to launch their latest device and will be on sale next month. Find out here to know the price, features, and specifications of this wearable.

According to The Verge, Verizon has officially announced that their exclusive Wear24 will go on sale from US$300 to $350 on May 11, 2017, both in store and online. The Android Wear 2.0 smartwatch is something to watch out for. The water-resistant device is sported with Snapdragon Wear 2100 processor along with top-of-the-line specifications from its 1.39-inch AMOLED display with 480 x 480 resolution, 4GB storage, 768MB RAM and up to its 450mAh battery plus wireless charging.

The Android 2.0 wearable has a price tag starting at $300 if buyers will sign up for a two-year contract. If consumers don't feel like being locked in for 24 months, they have the option to go for the no-contract price of $349.99, as published by Engadget. Meanwhile, customers with existing Verizon Wireless account can add the device for $5 a month, plus further taxes and other relevant fees.

Further reports from Android Authority conveyed that the wireless carrier has not yet disclosed which company will be manufacturing their Wear24. The smartwatch will have three color variants to choose from Gunmetal Black, Stainless Steel, and Rose Gold. Users can also use custom watch faces in order to switch from standard formal display to a more casual, athletic-theme as preferred. In addition to this, it has an LTE hardware allowing the device to work even without an accompanying smartphone. With the use of its NFC, it can make purchases by means of Android Pay. The wearable also has an IP67 water resistance rating; thus, the device can be submerged in 3.3 feet of water for 30 minutes.
