Sony Xperia XA1 Specs and Price In India Unveiled

After the recent launch of the Xperia XZs smartphone, Sony will also unveil one of their smartphones in India. The Japanese multinational tech company will launch their mid-tier Sony Xperia XA1 smartphone in India.

The Sony Xperia XA1 is a considered as a mid-tier phone with mid-tier specs. The smartphone is in a near all-polycarbonate body equipped with Corning Gorilla Glass protecting the smartphone. It also features an aluminum-made outer frame.

Also, the Sony Xperia XA1 highlights Sony's characteristic silver round power button in style. In an article published in IndiaToday, the phone is also equipped with camera shutter key and fingerprint scanner.

The Sony Xperia XA1 has a 5-inch HD display with 720x1280 pixels resolution. Not only that, the device's dimensions are 145x67x8mm, weighing in at 143 grams. 

The smartphone is also a dual-SIM device that packs a 64-bit MediaTek Helio P20 octa-core SoC. The dual sim of the Sony Xperia XA1 is Nano + Nano and the SoC is a quad-core 2.3GHz and quad-core 1.6GHz.

In addition, the Sony Xperia XA1 comes wit a 3GB worth of RAM and 32GV worth of internal storage, which could be expanded further to 256GB using the microSD card slot. The smartphone also features a rear-mounted 23MP Exmor RS image sensor with hybrid autofocus, HDR mode, 5x zoom, f/2.0 aperture and 24 mm wide-angle lens. In an article published by Gadgets 360, the device also has an 8MP front camera without front flash or IOS.

For the connectivity, the Sony Xperia XA1 offers NFC, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, USB Type-C port, and a 4G VoLTE. For the operating system, the smartphone will run on Android 7.0 Nougat.

The smartphone will be backed by a 2300mAh battery and it would have a Stamina Mode in which it ensures the device's battery for longer by disabling other functions of the phone and increasing its performance. To help with the battery performance, the Sony Xperia XA1 will have a Qnovo Adaptive Charging technology that would keep an eye on the battery's health and alters changing the current, thus avoiding the damage and maximizing lifespan.

The Sony Xperia XA1 is currently on sale in India for INR 19,990 or about $309. The smartphone is going to be available in White, Black, or Pink.

The company gave a tease of Sony Xperia XA1 at the Mobile World Congress last February in Barcelona, Spain. Other phones of Sony like the XA1 Ultra, Xperia XZ Premium, and Xperia XZs. With the purchase of the phone, customers will also get three months free subscription of Sony LIV.
